Configuring Product Categories & Product Tree

Configuring Product Categories & Product Tree

This is a Quick Guide on Configuring Product Categories and Product Trees in the Management Portal.

Product Categories are essential. They are conveniently handy when looking for Brand name items or Products in a specific category.  Navigate to the Configuration Tab shown below, then click into the Product categories field.

You will be able to View Product Categories that have already been formulated. If you would like to Add the Name of a Product Category to the OPTION list before configuring your Product Tree, Tap the Plus highlighted in the Top right of the screen.

Select the name of your category and select whether or not it is known as i. When you have finished click the Save in the top right of the screen.

You will now have the Product Category -'Shoes' created in the 'Product Category' section. To start your Building Product Tree click 'Product Category Tree' highlighted below

You will see Categories and Subcategories these are all completely editable. Next Navigate to the Shoes Category that I had previously made as an example, in the left column. When you select and drag the Shoes Category over to the left hand side and place the category where you would like it to appear in your tree of products.

If its not listed head back to Step One and Create the Category Name.
To move the Category around simply grab the category from where it is and drag to the appropriate spot. The 'Shoes' category was originally a Subcategory under 'Soft Drinks'. I have simply dragged the Shoes Subcategory, up to above 'Fashion' therefor it has made itself a Category, NOT a Subcategory.

After your Product Tree is build you can assign products to the Category, or edit current ones to be in a new category. The field for Category Selection is in the Product Information highlighted below.

When you have finished editing the Product Tree, Click the Save in the top right of the screen.
Please Note: You cannot Delete a Product Category until the products have been allocated into the  'Unassigned' Category.
