KDC Barcode Scanner "Buffer Full" Resolution

KDC Barcode Scanner "Buffer Full" Resolution

Please see below a short walk-through to address the "Buffer Full" error you are seeing on your KDC Barcode Scanner. Please note that the Barcode Scanner menu can differ between models.

First of all, you need to bring up the scanner menu, so you need to press the two buttons on the left side of the barcode scanner at the same time. This should open a menu.

Once you can see the menu, you will need to use the down arrow on the side of the scanner to scroll through the list until “System Config” becomes highlighted.

Once its highlighted, you will need to press the scan button on the front of the scanner.

This will open another menu. “Memory Status” will automatically be highlighted. Using the down arrow again scroll down the list until “Auto Erase” is selected. Press the scan button on the front of the scanner to open.

Using the Up & down buttons on the side of the scanner, make sure “Enabled” is selected, then press the scan button on the front of the scanner. Enabled should now have an asterix * next to it.

Once this is done, you can use the side down button to scroll to “Save & Exit”, then hit the scan button. This will save your change.

Now simply use the side down button to scroll down to “Top Menu”, and hit the scan button. This will take you back to the original menu.

Now again use the side down button to scroll down to “Exit Menu”, and hit the scan button. This will take you out of the menu. Your Scanner should now be ready to use.
