Overview
Sales Territories enable you to classify your Retailers into distinct groups which can then be assigned to relevant users. These groups can be geographical zones, by customer class, or simply named the same as the user in Inzant who services that territory. Inzant recommends geographical regions, however it is at your discretion how you configure your territories within Inzant Sales.
Territories can be assigned to one or more user, and are assigned to each user on the User Details screen. Please see this guide for a brief overview of how to do this
here. It is important to note that users who share territories with one another will see each others sales history.
Sales Territory Search
You can reach the Sales Territory search screen by clicking on the "Configuration" menu option in the sidebar menu, and then clicking on the "Sales Territory" option under the "Lists" heading. If you cannot see this option, please confirm with your system administrator that your user role has sufficient permissions.
Once you have the Sales Territory search screen open you can see all the available options in the tabular list. To search for a Sales Territory, type the search term into the Search box and hit Enter.
If you'd like to review the inactive Sales Territories, click the "More Filters" button. You'll then see a dropdown which will enable you to see "All sales territories", "Inactive Sales Territories" or "Active Sales Territories". You can also do a search whilst this filter is active. To close these options click "Less Filters".
Adding a Sales Territory
To add a Sales Territory, click on the "New Sales Territory" button which is located in the top right of screen (provided you have sufficient permissions). This will open a blank Sales Territory Details screen ready for you to enter the new Sales Territory name.
Once the Sales Territory Details screen is open, enter the new Name and click the save button in the top right of screen.
Editing or Deactivating a Sales Territory
To edit a Sales Territory click on the small edit icon in the far right column of the row. This will open the Sales Territory Details screen.
The Sales Territory details screen will only have the "Name" field. Provided you have sufficient permissions you can edit this name, and click save in the top right corner of the page.
If you'd like to deactivate a Sales Territory, you can click on the "Deactivate" button - which will make the Sales Territory inactive.
