Enabling PDFs for Smart Presenters using Adobe Acrobat
Note: Presently the Prepare Form feature appears to require Adobe Acrobat Pro - a licensed version of the product.
This is a quick guide on modifying your PDF presenters/catalogues/lookbooks/blads etc. to enable them for the Smart presentation mode. This mode enables the iPad user to simple tap on the zone you specify and they can order the products directly from the PDF.
Creating your campaigns this way is very efficient as it means there is almost zero admin time in creating the campaign in Inzant Sales, you simply create a campaign with the type "Smart Presentation" and upload the PDF - no product linking required.
To create the form elements for each product zone please follow the instructions below - this needs to be done for every product you want to be orderable within the PDF.
- Select the Prepare Form Tool
- Select the document you wish to modify to a Smart
Presentation and click Start
- Scroll through the document to where you want the Link to
be.
- Click the Button tool (OK).
You can then position the Button over the zone you wish to
be selectable.
Note: The quantity will display in the centre of the zone so
position the button accordingly.
Add a name to the button using the following format
Code:{ProductCode}
- To complete the setup click the General Tab. In the Form Field you will see ' All Properties Link' change to Visible but doesn't print, as below.
- On the 'Appearance Tab'. Set the Border and fill colours to be No Colour.
On the Options Tab. Set the Layout to be Label only.
On the Actions Tab.
Set the Select Trigger to be Mouse Up
And Select Action to be Execute a menu item
- Click Close to save the changes.
- Once all zones are configured Save the document ready to
upload to Inzant.
- If you wish to rename the document, select Different Folder
to get the normal File Save control.
