Create a notice/announcement on your website

Create a notice/announcement on your website

If you need to put up a temporary announcement on the website - for instance to announce shortages of stock, or a business closure period - then the simplest way to do this is to put a Content Bar Full Width widget on the home page with your desired message.

To do this you must first login to the website CMS;
  1. Open the login screen
  2. Enter your Admin login credentials, click login
  3. This will drop you onto the CMS landing screen (dashboard).

Then click on the "Pages" sidebar menu option.

Create a Preview version of the Home page.

On the left of screen, click on the "Content" section in the accordion menu, and select the "Content Settings" option.
In the top right of screen, click the drop-down box next to the "Add Widget" button and select "Content Bar (Full Width)", then click the Add Widget button.

Once the widget is added into the list, click on the blue zone and drag it to the desired location on the page (i.e. typically it'd be the top or second top widget).

Now in the Accordion section, select the new "Content bar (Full Widget)" option. Here you can enter the Title and Body text of the announcement.

Once complete, hit the "Save and Publish" button in the top right of screen. Now check the home page to ensure it looks correct, and if you need to make any changes (to placement or content) then simply create another preview of the Home page, select this widget in the accordion menu again, edit and then Save and Publish again.
