Navigating the Product Search Screen

The Product Search screen provides you will a complete list of the products in the system. It allows simple and advanced searching of products and also provides a number of views of the data.
The screen also allows you to export displayed data to a number of file formats.

To view the Product Search screen
  1. click Products in the Side Bar Menu



At the top of the screen are the New Product and More buttons.



Adding New Products


The New Product button allows you to Add new products.
  1. If you click the main part of the button the system will create a new Individual Product and open the Product Detail screen so you may complete the setup.
  2. If you click the Drop Down selector on the button it will allow you to select either a new Individual or Master product.


In addition to the standard Search screen features we have provided a number of Display Options for the Product Search screen. The different options provide focused field groups for each different option. 
The display options are available from the More Options Button.
If you need to export a list of Products, this functionality is also available from the More Option button.
If your system is setup for import from CSV files, an upload option can also be added to the More Options button to provide the ability to directly upload import files from this screen.



Searching and Filtering 


The Product Search screen included both Basic Search functions and Advanced Filtering. 
To use the Basic Search
  1. Enter text into the search zone
  2. Click Search
To access the Advanced Filters
  1. Click the More Filters Button


To use the Advanced Filtering, 
  1. Select the filters as required
  2. Click Search
To return to Basic Search
  1. Click the Less Filters button



Please note the Product Category will affect the results of Basic and Advanced Filters

Product Categories

The Product Category Area allows you to filter the list of Products displayed.
To show Products in a specific Category
  1. Click the name of the Category
If you want to view products in a sub category
  1. Click the + to display sub categories and then click on the desired category
  2. Click the - to hide sub categories 


The Product Category Zone also allows you to mange the configuration of the Product Category Tree.

To manage the Tree
  1. Right Click on the tree node you want to change or add too.
This will display a popover menu that allows you to carry out tree maintenance
  1. Create - Add a new sub category under the selected category
  2. Rename - Rename the selected category
  3. Cut - if you wish to move a category to another location, you Cut from the selected category
  4. Paste - if you wish to move a category to another location, you Paste to the selected category and it will be inserted as a sub category
  5. Move Up - this will move the selected category to allow you to sort the order of categories
  6. Move Down - this will move the selected category to allow you to sort the order of categories
  7. Delete - This allows you to remove a category, Deleting a category will prompt you before setting all products in the category to inactive and moving them to Unassigned


Product List

The main area of the screen will display a list of Product selected using the Product Category, search and Filter settings.

Note: The More button included a number of different Display Options to provide columns that logically group related information.

To view or edit the details of a Product 
  1. Click the Edit button (pencil) in the Actions column



The will display the Product Details screen for the product on that row.
